Bath Time with Daddy

Nathan loves his bath time with Daddy. He is such a big boy now...he loves to sit up in the bath, tries to stand, and now wants to get on all fours in the tub! Jeff has his hands full!!

Nathan took a bath with Daddy the other day for the first time. He loved it! At the start of bath, he kept looking at Jeff like, "Hey, you are not supposed to be in the tub with me!"

Pool Time!

I took Nathan to our community pool the other day and he quite enjoyed it. They have a "baby" pool that is just a few feet deep. I put Nathan in there with his floaty, but his feet kept touching the bottom...so he kept his feet up the whole time. Looks like we are going to have to take him to the "big" pool! :)

"Hi, Mom! I see you!"

He really liked lounging around in the pool.

Towards the end, he started getting a bit fussy.

Play Date at Zac's

It is so much fun to watch these babies interact with each other. It is amazing how they are constantly learning. So far, Nathan seems to do really well with other babies. He is not aggressive, and is learning not to freak out when other babies get a little aggressive with him. He is a little sensitive, but he has been doing really well lately. He used to cry every time a baby touched him; now he mostly cries when they smack him on the head...poor little guy. He is not so innocent...he does like to grab faces. Baby eyes, beware! :)

Just a few pics . . .

I went into Nathan's room to check on him before I went to bed and this is how the little bug was sleeping...he was too cute so I had to go grab my camera!

We went to Ronin's 1st birthday and had a lot of fun. Nathan enjoyed playing will all of Ronin's toys with Daddy.

Poor little bug wishes that he could move around like the other babies...he is the youngest in the group. He is not crawling yet, but he is getting there. He just does not know how to move himself forward.

Eating Adventures

He always makes a funny face, regardless!

"Gotcha!"

"Don't bother me Mom, I'm eating!"

We have been feeding Nathan solids for a little over a month now, and he is doing wonderfully. When we first tried solids he reacted with severe and painful constipation. So, Jeff and I decided to wait another month and then try again.  He was just in too much pain and it was not worth it to us to have him start solids "on time". Every baby is different anyways.

So, here he is half way through his seventh month and eating like a champ! He is so funny to watch! He really wants to feed himself with the spoon. He knows exactly where it goes! :)   There has not been a food that he has not liked. I do not think I will have a picky eater on my hands, and if that turns out to be true, I will be extremely happy.

He is such an amazing little man and the light of our lives. Every day is a new adventure, and every day you can see him learning new things! I love to watch his little brain go to work. Right now he is working on two major things: Crawling and getting his top right tooth. He is really close to crawling now. He has figured out how to shift his weight when he picks up a hand.  He is just working on inhibiting a reflex and making his hips work independently. So much going on in that little body of his!  I am hoping that he will crawl by 8 months so that gives him about 2 more weeks. I just want him to crawl for his own sake...he gets frustrated after a while because he wants to go forward so badly. :)

Nathan and Grandpa

Grandma Lisa Came to Town!

Grandma Lisa came for a visit for a few days! It was really good to see her. She has not seen Nathan since Christmas. I was a little nervous about how he would do with her because sometimes he can become overwhelmed, but he was great! He kept looking at her like, "You look so familiar" (Jeff and his mom look a lot a like).
Nathan and Grandma Lisa were able to spend a lot of time together, and he was just enamored by her. Nathan loved giving her kisses! Needless to say, they were very cute together.
